United Methodist Women in Faith
Our Purpose: The organized unit of the United Methodist Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand the concept of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
May we go forward together to make Christ known throughout the world.

UMW Reading Program
The Reading Program encourages United Methodist Women to be informed about current issues by reading member-reviewed books. The knowledge gained from reading these books not only deepen our spirituality but gives us a better understanding of missions. Each year the program begins September 1st and ends August 31st. The BUMW’s book collection is kept on the shelves under the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall. The books are divided into the 5 categories: Education for Mission (EM), Spiritual Growth (SG), Leadership Development (LD), Social Action (SA), and Nurturing for Community (NC).
Members are asked to read at least 5 books a year, one book from each of the categories listed above. Books can be selected from the last five years. The 2019 book list can be found here.
We are very excited about the 2019 Reading Program. Hope you are too! Let’s get reading. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Debbie Kadzielewski.
Craft Ministries
Members meet during Circle meetings or as a group to make items that support missions. If you do not sew, don’t stay away! There are always tasks to complete that do not require a sewing machine or the knowledge of knitting. These meetings are a good way to fellowship while working to spread the love of God to those in need.
