The BUMW met on March 17, 2018, for a presentation by Sheila Roemeling, Executive Director and Founder of Fresh Start, Healing Heart; “Healing and Freedom from Human Trafficking for All”. Sheila passionately shared the purpose of her organization and how they have been able to help so many women and children who are survivors of human trafficking. The mission of Fresh Start, Healing Heart is to compassionately walk beside survivors of Human Trafficking, provide safe housing, immediate need and restorative services for spiritual, emotional, physical and financial healing. The organization has been in operation for 3 years. President Walden Letson presented Ms. Roemeling with a monetary donation along with boxes of donated items to help the women to rebuild their lives.
