Join the United Methodist Women on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 10:00 in the Fellowship Hall as we kick-off an ambitious project to keep girls in school. At a recent meeting, we learned that there are young girls in remote areas of the world who do not have sanitary products and must stay home from school because of the stigma surrounding this. Often the girls drop out of school. We were moved to help these girls. Sharleen Bennett, Social Action Chairperson, contacted the organization, Days for Girls. They have provided the patterns for the sanitary kits and will distribute the kits in foreign countries. Help is needed to cut, sew and work on the items for the kits. Many steps do not require sewing. Come on out and be part of the solution to keep girls in school.
